COMMON COMPLICATIONS, Arteriovenous Fistula

 

Stenosis

Symptoms：insufficient blood flow, pressure increase,

                        swelling, occlusion.

Treatment：balloon angioplasty, stent graft or angioplasty

Infection

Symptoms：redness, swelling, warmth, pain and fever

Treatment：antibiotics, surgical debridement or vascular

                        removal.

 

Hemangioma

Symptoms：swollen and bleeding

Treatment：surgical removal of hemangioma

 

Steal Syndrome

Symptoms：cold, pain, weakness, cyanosis and atrophy of

                        arm

Treatment：Distal revascularization-interval ligation (DRIL)

                        or Proximalization of the arterial inflow (PAI) .
